1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out the agreement between you and Transfree Co., Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales, in relation to your use of freetranslations.org (the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms. If you do not accept any part of them, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
The Service is a free online language platform that provides text translation, voice translation, and text-to-speech conversion across more than 200 languages. It is offered as-is, free of charge, and without account registration. Features and supported languages may change over time without prior notice.
3. No account, no fees
The Service is provided without registration, subscription, or payment. We do not currently charge users for any feature. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future; if we do, those features will be governed by separate terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service for lawful purposes only. In particular, you agree not to:
- Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or infringes on any third party’s rights.
- Scrape, harvest, or extract content from the Service at scale.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service through automated requests, denial-of-service attacks, or unauthorized access attempts.
- Reverse engineer the Service or attempt to derive its underlying components, except where applicable law expressly permits this.
- Circumvent any rate limit, security measure, or access control we have put in place.
We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or block access to the Service for users who engage in any of the prohibited activities above.
5. Accuracy of translations
Machine translation is powerful but imperfect. Translations produced by the Service may contain errors or miss nuances in the source content. We make no warranty that translations are accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose.
For documents where accuracy is legally, medically, financially, or professionally important, a qualified human translator is the safer choice. The Service is not a substitute for certified or sworn translation, and you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any translation before relying on it.
6. Intellectual property
The interface, design, source code, written content (excluding translations generated through use of the tools), graphics, and logos made available through the Service are owned by Transfree Co., Ltd or our licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or modify these materials without our prior written consent, beyond standard browsing and reasonable personal use.
You retain ownership of any text, voice recordings, or other content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us and our processors a limited license to process that content solely to provide the requested translation or speech output.
In most jurisdictions, machine-generated translations are not separately protected by copyright. Subject to the rights in any underlying source material, you are free to use the translation output for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.
7. Third-party services and advertising
The Service relies on third-party providers for translation processing, speech services, content delivery, analytics, and advertising. Use of these providers is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices or content. Advertising is delivered through a standard industry advertising network and is clearly distinguishable from the platform’s own content.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or appropriate for any specific purpose. No advice or information obtained from the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Transfree Co., Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed one hundred British pounds (£100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including in cases of suspected violation of these Terms. Because the Service does not involve user accounts, termination is effected by blocking access from a particular IP address, network, or browser.
12. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
14. Contact
